Dinah Langsjoen is a 34 year old artist who lives in Lower North Mankato, and long time Mankato Native. She has been practicing art for as long as she could hold a Crayola crayon and has never lost her love of it. She finds interest in composition, angles and Intense perspectives, and the spiritual power of art, as well as its ability to heal and give healing.
Showcased at GSR is her Watercolor Body: Dinah taught herself watercolor in 2016 when she was offered a summer camp Painting Instructor role at the International Peace Camp in North Dakota/Canada. When she got pregnant with her son, she shelved the oil and acrylic paints for something less space consuming and easy to walk away from. She has four series that she is promoting here: 16 Wildflowers (2020), 12 Backyard Birds (2020), 26 Animals for her son, Torin, as an Alphabet (2017), and 9 Wintry Nature Scenes (2016). All are available in Greeting Card sets and Individual Prints!
